Kate Middleton, who embarked on a 24-hour whirlwind tour of the UK to raise awareness about a childhood survey, wore a coat similar to one Meghan Markle favours and the similarity caught people’s attention.
The Duchess of Cambridge met with families on her tour to raise awareness of the poll, Five Big Questions on the Under Fives.
Kate Middleton has determined that many of the hardest social challenges facing society can often be traced back to experiences in early childhood, so she came up with the project to help address this.
Kate hopes the 5BigQuestions survey will trigger change for generations to come and it is thought to be the largest of its kind in the UK.
Kate said: “The Early Years are more crucial for future health and happiness than any other moment in our lifetime.
“I want to hear the key issues affecting our families and communities so I can focus my work on where it is needed most.”
The research was commissioned by the Royal Foundation, which hopes it will “spark the biggest ever conversation on early childhood”.
On the latest leg of the tour, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a £149 Massimo Dutti coat strikingly similar to the Reiss garment preferred by Meghan Markle.
