Aliko Dangote Pledges N200m To Curb Spread Of The Coronavirus In Nigeria

Nigerian businessman and Africa’s richest billionaire, Aliko Dangote’s foundation, has announced it plans to help in the fight against the novel Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

The Aliko Dangote Foundation pledged to donate N200million to augment the government’s effort towards the eradication of the Coronavirus in Nigeria.
This was announced at a donor coordinating meeting in Abuja, on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
The Managing Director of the Aliko Dangote Foundation, Ms Youssoufou also emphasized on other areas of intervention which include surveillance and epidemiology, where facilities worth N36million will be provided by the Foundation to support government’s effort.
According to her, the ADF will also donate N48million for case management training of health workers.
